Audubon Adventures Adopt-a-Classroom Project

Looking for a satisfying way to enhance the environmental health of our community,  our nation, and our earth by sparking the enthusiasm of elementary school students? You are cordially invited to join the dedicated group of supporters who provide Audubon Adventures to classrooms, nature centers, home schoolers, and others in our area!

Published by National Audubon, these state-of-the-art study materials include four editions of a lively tabloid style newspaper, created for students in grades 3 to 6, an Audubon Adventures resource manual for the teacher or group    leader, who also receives a complimentary Audubon membership, Audubon’s Guide to a Healthy Schoolyard, a certificate of participation, and much more.

As an example, topics for 2003-2004 were:

• Grasslands

• Coniferous Forests

• Water, Wildlife & People

• Nature in Your Neighborhood

Each Audubon Adventures kit contains supplies for up to 32 students. The cost is $45.65, and it may be sent to the teacher/classroom of your choice.
